How to Wear a Condom Correctly 06/04/2010
Did you know that a full 30% of condom users wear them incorrectly? The next time you use flavored condoms, remember: 1. Choose the right size! The condom should not budge once it's on. Don't buy the "magnum" size just because it sounds cool. If the guy is too small for that size, the condom is gonna slip off. 2. Unroll the condom from the tip of the penis downward. Leave some space at the tip to catch semen. 3. Withdraw right after ejaculation, holding the base of the condom to prevent spillage. Practice Safe Sex During Oral Sex 03/21/2010
Oral sex involves giving or receiving oral stimulation (i.e. sucking or licking) to the penis, the vagina, and/or the anus. Fellatio is the technical term used to describe oral contact with the penis. Cunnilingus is the technical term which describes oral-vaginal sex. Anilingus (sometimes called “rimming”) refers to oral-anal contact. Studies indicate that oral sex is commonly practiced by sexually active male-female and same-gender couples of various ages, including adolescents. Although there are only limited national data about how often adolescents engage in oral sex, some data suggest that many adolescents who engage in oral sex do not consider it to be sex; therefore they may use oral sex as an option to experience sex while still, in their minds, remaining abstinent. Moreover, many consider oral sex to be a safe or no risk sexual practice. In a recent national survey of teens conducted for The Kaiser Family Foundation, 26% of sexually active 15 to 17 year olds surveyed responded that one “cannot become infected with HIV by having unprotected oral sex”, and an additional 15% didn’t know whether or not one could become infected in that manner. The risk of HIV transmission from an infected partner through oral sex is much smaller than the risk of HIV transmission from anal or vaginal sex, but practicing Safe Sex is a MUST at all times. So why not do it with flavored condoms and protect yourself at the same time?! Flavored Condoms Make Safe Oral Sex More Fun 01/15/2010
![]() Did you know that condoms have been used for at least 400 years? Since the nineteenth century, they have been one of the most popular methods of contraception in the world. Flavored condoms are more of a modern addition, of course, and can be used for intercourse because they provide the same protection against pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections as unflavored condoms. Unprotected oral sex (without using a condom or other barrier) puts both partners at risk for a number of sexually transmitted diseases, whether giving or receiving genital stimulation. These infections include gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, hepatitis B, cytomegalovirus, human papilloma virus (HPV), herpes, and, rarely, HIV and chlamydia. For safer oral sex, use a condom, and spice things up with a flavored condom! |
